Chapter 6 ended with a question. The kings and generals and slaves hid in the caves and asked "who is able to stand?" before the wrath of the Lamb. Chapter 7 has spent seventeen verses answering. God's people are sealed. The multitude comes through the tribulation in white robes. They stand before the throne. And the final verse of the chapter goes past standing to a promise no other verse in Revelation makes quite the same way.
"The Lamb will shepherd them. God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
The Lamb who was slain, now shepherding at the throne. Living fountains of waters. Every tear personally attended to. And every detail of it points back to Psalm 23 and Isaiah. Let's take it apart.
Revelation 7:17
For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

The image of God wiping away every tear is deeply personal and tender. Not just removing the source of tears, but personally attending to each tear, each sorrow, each wound. This speaks to complete emotional and spiritual healing. There will be no lingering pain, no unresolved grief, no residual suffering. God Himself ensures every hurt is healed.
